Jane has written a weekly column in the voice of her childhood for the local Buffalo, Missouri newspaper, County Courier, since the early 1990s. This little girl's voice has won many awards at conferences and state levels. The voice speaks to the reader as a reminder of their childhood, taking them back to growing up days, when family was their world and Mother was their everything. Her
column features reminiscence about her childhood, ranging in subjects from
memories of past 4th of July celebrations to defying mother to reach the elusive
cherries high in the tree. Any childhood memory is turned into a trip down
memory lane for the reader.
